Product

The product HDC IRISCAM is a complete solution for live viewing and video recording of the eye or the iris. It is a closed system, so there are no dependencies or compatibility problems with various camera types or operating systems and no software installation or updates are required. It combines a high-quality camera, a Canon lens and a special flexible lighting device that enables iris lighting at ten adjustable exposure levels and from various directions.

The HDC IRISCAM product is for documentation purposes only. It is not a product according to the Medical Devices Act and is therefore not certified or approved for the creation of medical diagnoses.

• Live transmission of the image on the screen in high resolution (4k) or repetition rate (30 fps)
• Focus control via the camera software (on-screen menu)
• Centering via the camera's XY holding device
• Control of shutter speed/aperture/light amplification etc. via the on-screen menu
• Recording of videos and photos on removable SD card or USB memory stick
• Playback of recorded videos and photos directly from the camera

Sample recordings

The following test video sequence of a brown iris was recorded with the HDC Iriscam on our test setup. No post-processing (sharpness/color intensity, etc.) was carried out on this recording.

System requirements

To operate the IRISCAM you need the following additional equipment:

• Monitor with at least one free HDMI input and 4K resolution (recommended 16:9 format)

• Macro lens extension
• LED lighting unit with integrated battery (5600K, 24000 lux, 10-level adjustable brightness)
• Head mount (can be set up on the table or mounted with screws through existing holes)
• USB charging cable for the LED lighting unit (a USB charger is not included)
• Mini table tripod for camera with 360° ball head aluminum alloy 20"
• SD memory card
